If you were on the internet last night and googled "Qld 2016 Origin team" your top hit would have been an article from a leading QLD news source that seems to have hit the publish button nearly 24 hours before the QLD team gala dinner and announcement.

Although it hasn't caused too much controversy considering the side pretty much picks itself.  The major speculation was about who would fill in the holes in the back line.  Also people wanted to know if Myles would keep his spot, if Gagai would keep his spot and if the slippery fingers of Feldt (from Friday's match) would cost him a spot?.  Well based on the leaked team those answers are yes, yes and yes!.

So here it is, the leaked side (we will have to wait until 7pm AEST, tonight to find out if it was in fact a leak or a hoax), the side:

Darius Boyd (Brisbane Broncos)

Corey Oates (Brisbane Broncos)

Justin O’Neill (North Queensland Cowboys)

Dane Gagai (Newcastle Knights)

Johnathan Thurston (North Queensland Cowboys)

Cooper Cronk (Melbourne Storm)

Matt Scott (North Queensland Cowboys)

Cameron Smith (c) (Melbourne Storm)

Nate Myles (Manly Warringah Sea Eagles)

Aidan Guerra (Sydney Roosters)

Matt Gillett (Brisbane Broncos)

Corey Parker (Brisbane Broncos)

Michael Morgan (North Queensland Cowboys)

Sam Thaiday (Brisbane Broncos)

Josh Papalii (Canberra Raiders)

Josh McGuire (Brisbane Broncos)
